La Ferté-Bernard hosts the 11th Temps Fort Danse & Musique Amateur Départemental. Nearly 250 amateur teenagers and able-bodied and disabled adults from the Sarthe and elsewhere will be presenting choreographic works at various sites in the town, which will be revealed to the public on a "guided tour" devised by choreographer Florence Loison. Since 2012, this unique weekend-long event has been showcasing new amateur dance practices, as well as hosting performances by musicians. This departmental initiative, supported by the Zutano BaZar company, promotes all types of choreographic aesthetics, as well as dance teachers, dancers and choreographers involved in amateur creation. It's also a chance for amateur dancers to get together and practise together!
